Choose a Japan eSIM for your itinerary

Use mobile data for rail directions, maps, translation and messages without replacing your main SIM. Current Japan plans offer either 1–10GB of fixed data or a 2GB daily high-speed allowance.

Match the allowance to your trip

Fixed plans provide one allowance over 7 or 30 days. Daily plans are available for 1–15 days, provide 2GB of high-speed data each day, and continue at up to 1 Mbps after that allowance until the daily reset.

Four supported Japanese networks

Current plans list NTT docomo, KDDI/au, SoftBank and Rakuten Mobile, with 5G where supported. The network used and speed available depend on your device, location and local conditions.

Yes. Install it before departure, keep it off for mobile data, then select it when you arrive. For current plans, validity starts on the first connection to a supported network.

Do I need a Japan-only or East Asia plan?

Choose Japan-only for an itinerary contained within Japan. Compare East Asia coverage when crossing borders, and confirm that every stop appears in the selected regional plan's coverage list.
